Baseball Recap: Sotomayor Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Sotomayor lost to Stevens on Friday, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. Sotomayor narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Stevens 4-2.

Jace Cano was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Sotomayor's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Stevens, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season.

Sotomayor will square off against Taft at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sotomayor is facing Taft at the right time seeing as Taft is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Stevens, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Stevens Falcons take on Harlan Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harlan will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Stevens surely won't give up without a fight.
