Soccer Game Preview: Austin vs. Lake Travis

Austin is 0-10 against Lake Travis since January of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The Austin Maroons will face off against the Lake Travis Cavaliers at 4:45 p.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

After two halves, Austin and Westlake settled for a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Lake Travis hasn't lost a match since January 2nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. They played to a draw too, finishing 0-0 against Westlake. The result (or lack thereof) marked the Cavaliers' first draw of the season.

Austin's draw gives them a new season record of 2-5-3. As for Lake Travis, they moved theirs to 9-1-1.

Austin suffered a grim 4-1 defeat to Lake Travis when the teams last played back in March of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Austin was down 3-0.
