Football Recap: Valley View Takes a Loss

Valley View was the 49-29 winner over Searcy when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blazers took a 37-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lions on Friday. While the Blazers had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Lions 6-0.

Jackson Smith had an outrageously good game for Searcy as he picked up 157 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Searcy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Valley View wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 35-6 win against West Memphis on the 12th. As for Searcy, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 19-7 victory against Harrison on the 12th.
