Baseball Recap: Depew's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Depew had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They beat the Lake Shore Eagles by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 12-4. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 12-4 win on Thursday.

Depew's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Shore, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
