Baseball Game Preview: West Harrison Hurricanes vs. Pascagoula Panthers

For the second straight game, West Harrison will face off against Pascagoula. The Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

West Harrison gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out Pascagoula 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Hurricanes have posted against the Panthers since April 6, 2019.

Ryan Seymour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because West Harrison is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 7-16 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Reece Parker was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

West Harrison's win bumped their record up to 10-17. As for Pascagoula, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-17 record this season.
