Baseball Recap: Cheshire Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wilbur Cross on Monday, Cheshire came back down to earth. The Rams took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyman Hall Trojans on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Rams in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost six in a row.

Cheshire saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nick Giampietro, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Cheshire's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Lyman Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Cheshire has already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Shelton on the 14th. As for Lyman Hall, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Xavier on the 16th.
