Basketball Game Preview: Riverview Sarasota Rams vs. Calvary Christian Warriors

The Riverview Sarasota Rams will take on the Calvary Christian Warriors in a tournament on Monday. Riverview Sarasota knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Calvary Christian likes a good challenge.

Josh Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-6 from deep and dropping a double-double on 33 points and ten boards. What's more, he also racked up five assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Rhys Gamble was another key player, dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.

Riverview Sarasota smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Calvary Christian had already won nine in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.9 points) and they went ahead and made it ten on Saturday. They strolled past the Phoenix with points to spare, taking the game 53-38. Given the Warriors' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Phoenix are ranked 237th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Riverview Sarasota now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Calvary Christian, their victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2.
