Baseball Recap: McKinley Takes a Loss

McKinley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Port Allen Pelicans. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Pelicans from their previous meeting back in March of 2021.

McKinley's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Port Allen, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-3.

Coming up, McKinley will head out on the road to face off against Plaquemine at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Port Allen, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Woodlawn-B.R. at 5:00 p.m. Woodlawn-B.R. has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.21 runs per game on average), something Port Allen will no doubt try to take advantage of.
