Football Game Preview: Pocahontas Indians vs. East Sac County Raiders

The Pocahontas Indians will venture away from home to square off against the East Sac County Raiders on Friday. East Sac County took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Pocahontas, who comes in off a win.

Pocahontas is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 43-36 victory over South Hamilton on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Indians needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 41 points the game before, East Sac County was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were outmatched by South Central Calhoun and fell 40-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

East Sac County's defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pocahontas, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-4.

Pocahontas took a serious blow against East Sac County in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, falling 27-0. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
