Baseball Recap: Piscataway Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

If Piscataway Vo-Tech was riding high fresh off their 13-3 takedown of Linden on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Raiders lost 12-2 to the New Brunswick Zebra on Thursday. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Zebra recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Piscataway Vo-Tech saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Malchiodi, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI. Colton Lyerly was another, earning two runs and two stolen bases.

Piscataway Vo-Tech now has a losing record of 3-4. As for New Brunswick, their win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

While Piscataway Vo-Tech had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
