Football Recap: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. East Forsyth Eagles

R.J. Reynolds lost against East Forsyth back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The R.J. Reynolds Demons were outmatched by the East Forsyth Eagles at home and fell 61-14. While losing is never fun, the Demons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Eagles are ranked sixth).

Although R.J. Reynolds took the loss, they still got scores from Christian Frierson and DeAndre Charles.

Jaire Richburg was another key receiver, picking up 149 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

R.J. Reynolds' loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for East Forsyth, the victory for them keeps them at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. R.J. Reynolds will take on West Forsyth at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Forsyth is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 27 points per game this season. As for East Forsyth, they will face off against Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Forsyth is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
