Recap: Valley Heights Mustangs vs. Rossville Bulldogs
The Valley Heights Mustangs lost against the Rossville Bulldogs back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Valley Heights took a serious blow against Rossville, falling 75-43. Valley Heights has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rossville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jack Donovan, who scored 20 points along with two steals. That's the first time this season that Donovan grabbed two or more steals. Mason Jones was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Valley Heights' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rossville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.
Valley Heights will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rock Creek on January 23rd. After both having extra time off, Rossville and St. Marys will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th.
