Softball Recap: West Comes Up Short

After flying high against Chaparral last Friday, West came back down to earth. West lost 19-1 to Troy on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for West in their meetings with Troy: they've now lost three in a row.

West's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11-1. As for Troy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

While West had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
