St. Vincent de Paul had already won four in a row dating back to last season and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They came out on top against the Credo Gryphon by a score of 3-1. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win the Gryphon walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2023.

St. Vincent de Paul had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-18, 25-14, 25-19.

St. Vincent de Paul was led to victory by Ella Mariolo and Savannah Todd. Mariolo had 14 assists and five aces, while Todd had four digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave Mariolo a new career-high in digs (two).

They weren't the only good server: St. Vincent de Paul was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in eight consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

St. Vincent de Paul's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
