Soccer Recap: Seekonk Takes a Loss

After flying high against Fairhaven on Monday, Seekonk came back down to earth. The Warriors fell just short of the Apponequet Regional Lakers by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. Seekonk fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Apponequet Regional since Wednesday.

Seekonk's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11-1. As for Apponequet Regional, with the victory, they broke their four-match losing streak and moved their record to 4-9-3.

Seekonk didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Bourne on the 23rd. As for Apponequet Regional, they will head out to square off against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
