Basketball Recap: Round Top-Carmine Piles Up the Points Against Dime Box

After only 24 points in their last contest, Round Top-Carmine made sure to put some points up on the board against Dime Box on Friday. The Round Top-Carmine Cubs really took it to the Dime Box Longhorns for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-23 win. That 57 point margin sets a new team best for the Cubs this season.

Despite the loss, Dime Box saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ta'Niyah Auston posted 13 points. That was a full 56.5% of Dime Box's points, marking the 11th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Round Top-Carmine now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Dime Box, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing North Zulch the next time they take the court. Round Top-Carmine will head out to face North Zulch at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, while Dime Box will host them at 5:00 p.m. on January 10th.
