Basketball Recap: Geronimo Comes Up Short

Geronimo was the 48-45 winner over Velma-Alma when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Blue Jays took a 42-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets on Saturday.

Geronimo has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season. As for Velma-Alma, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Geronimo will face off against Big Pasture at 8:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Velma-Alma, they will challenge Alex at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th.
