Soccer Recap: Mountain Pointe Takes a Loss

Mountain Pointe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-0 to the Chaparral Firebirds. While losing is never fun, the Pride can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Firebirds are ranked third).

Mountain Pointe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Chaparral, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which lines up perfectly with their 13-1-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Pointe will host Horizon Honors at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Horizon Honors is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. Chaparral has already played their next contest (against Horizon), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
