Oxford and Athens are an even 4-4 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Oxford Wildcats will welcome the Athens Red Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Thursday, Oxford was able to grind out a solid win over Farmington, taking the game 66-59. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while the Falcons are ranked 94th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Athens was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 69-65 to Troy.

Athens' defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Oxford, their victory bumped their record up to 19-1.

Oxford beat Athens 41-28 in their previous matchup back in January. Does Oxford have another victory up their sleeve, or will Athens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
