Baseball Game Preview: Richland Northeast Cavaliers vs. Pelion Panthers

For the second straight game, Richland Northeast will face off against Pelion. The Cavaliers will venture away from home to face off against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Richland Northeast has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 28.

Richland Northeast lost 15-4 to Pelion on Monday.

For Pelion's part, Seth Wren was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wren has become a key player for Pelion: the team is undefeated when he allows at most three hits, but 3-11 otherwise. Wren was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alan Moore, who went 2-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Brown, who went 4-for-5 with two RBI and one double.

Pelion was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .459. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Richland Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Pelion, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11.
