Volleyball Recap: Lubbock Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lubbock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monterey Plainsmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Plainsmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 23-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Lubbock's loss dropped their record down to 3-28. As for Monterey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 23-13.

Lubbock and Monterey could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Westerners (ranked 950th) will meet Amarillo (ranked 47th) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Monterey will challenge Tascosa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (326 vs. 82).
