Volleyball Recap: Brooke Roberts Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Laingsburg + How To Watch

Brandon posted their closest win since September 24, 2024 on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Laingsburg Wolfpack 2-1. This was payback for the Blackhawks, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Brandon got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 11-25, 25-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Brandon to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brooke Roberts, who had 15 digs. That's the most digs Roberts has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Eleanor Peterson, who had seven digs and three aces.

Brandon was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Laingsburg only served eight aces.

Brandon has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coincidentally, Brandon and Laingsburg will both be playing Fulton the next time they take the court. The Wolfpack will host the Pirates at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Blackhawks will play them later in the day, at 8:00 p.m.
