Soccer Game Preview: Greeneville vs. Dobyns-Bennett

The Greeneville Greene Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Dobyns-Bennett Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, Greeneville earned a 3-1 victory over Morristown-Hamblen East. The win made it back-to-back victories for Greeneville.

Meanwhile, Dobyns-Bennett waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Trailblazers. That looming 7-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dobyns-Bennett yet this season.

Their offense was hitting Daniel Boone from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Gavin Curtin led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

Dobyns-Bennett's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-2-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Greeneville, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-1.
