Volleyball Recap: Richfield Comes Up Short

Richfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to Simley. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Richfield of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Richfield took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-19.

Taylor Nickell paced Richfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Nickell got some help from Julia Wolke and her 16 assists. Chloe Berglund controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Richfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Simley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8-1 record this season.

Richfield has already played their next match (against Washburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Simley also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Two Rivers.
