Recap: Contra Costa Christian Cougars vs. Mendocino Cardinals
Even though the Contra Costa Christian Cougars have not done well against the Mendocino Cardinals recently (they were 0-8 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Contra Costa Christian came out on top against Mendocino by a score of 54-42. Given Contra Costa Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while Mendocino is ranked 423rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
The win for Contra Costa Christian keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.2 points per game. As for Mendocino, their loss dropped their record down to 3-1.
Contra Costa Christian will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against The Bay School at 6:00 p.m. on December 6th. As for Mendocino, they will take on Victory Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
