Baseball Recap: National Trail Comes Up Short

National Trail lost against Fairborn back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Blazers might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 11-1 to the Skyhawks, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Blazers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

National Trail saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grady Ott, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

National Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 7-15. As for Fairborn, their win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-12-1.

Coming up, National Trail will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Tri-County North at 3:00 p.m. The Blazers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season. As for Fairborn, they will venture away from home to face off against Oak Hills at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Skyhawks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Highlanders have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season.
