It was a good run, but Hawkins unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Como-Pickton Eagles.

Karsyn Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Alana Gipson also deserves some recognition as she hit her first doubles of the season.

Hawkins' loss dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Como-Pickton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-7 record this season.

While Hawkins had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
