Softball Recap: Brimley Takes a Loss

Brimley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 13-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Newberry Indians. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-7 on Monday.

Brimley now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Newberry, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Brimley will venture away from home to face off against Cedarville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Newberry, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Superior Central at 4:00 p.m. on the 30th.
