Fort Payne waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Gadsden City Titans with a sharp 3-0 win. The Wildcats not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 22nd (when they won 3-0).

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Fort Payne was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-9.

Carley Cash had a dynamite game, getting nine digs and eight aces. Those eight aces gave her a new career-high.

Cash wasn't the only good servers: Fort Payne was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in six consecutive matchups.

Fort Payne's record now sits at 36-9. As for Gadsden City, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-17.

Looking ahead, Fort Payne will be taking part in a tournament against American Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Gadsden City, they will challenge Clay-Chalkville at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
