Baseball Game Preview: Cleveland Eagles vs. Rainier Beach Vikings

The Cleveland Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Rainier Beach Vikings at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Cleveland's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matchups, but Monday's contest will give them a chance to turn things around.

Cleveland fell victim to Chief Sealth and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Seahawks, falling 12-0.

Meanwhile, Rainier Beach had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 30-0 to Ingraham. The Vikings have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Rainier Beach, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.

Cleveland took their win against Rainier Beach when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 21-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cleveland since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
