Harlingen South never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Donna North Chiefs as they made off with  a  17-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Hawks, who have now won 13 contests by six  runs or more  so far this season.
 Kailee Silva was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. She  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news, Harlingen South let  Jaylin Mata and  Laila Lamb run wild. Mata  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with four  runs and one  double, while  Lamb  went 1-for-2 with one  home run and two  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Lamb has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of  Angela Perez, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  run.
 Harlingen South  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .697. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Donna North only posted  an  OBP of  .000.
Harlingen South pushed their record up to 18-5 with the  win, which was their fifth straight  on the road. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 14.0 runs over those games. As for Donna North,  they are  on  a  17-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-20.
As of now, neither Harlingen South nor the Chiefs have any future games scheduled.
