Softball Recap: Miller Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Miller and San Bernardino, and San Bernardino kept the tradition alive. Miller came up short against San Bernardino on Monday, falling 14-4. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

NADINE SANCHEZ made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3. SOFIA CERRILLO also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Miller now has a losing record of 3-4. As for San Bernardino, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Miller will face off against Entrepreneur at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller is facing Entrepreneur at the right time seeing as Entrepreneur is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for San Bernardino, they will square off against Indian Springs at 2:45 p.m. on Friday. Indian Springs has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something San Bernardino will no doubt try to take advantage of.
