Basketball Recap: John Paul II Takes a Loss

John Paul II suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2024 on Friday. They lost 80-54 to the Bishop Lynch Friars. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 324th, while the Friars are ranked 130th).

John Paul II's defeat dropped their record down to 19-15. As for Bishop Lynch, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-12.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cardinals face off against the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bishop Lynch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
