Charlotte lost to Port Charlotte back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons escaped with a win against the Port Charlotte Pirates by the margin of a single free throw, 49-48. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fightin' Tarpons.

Charlotte is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for Port Charlotte, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5.
