Mira Monte extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Nathan Gonzales. The Lions blew past the Del Oro Suns 35-0 on Friday thanks in part to Gonzales, who rushed for 100 yards and three TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 108 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 18th straight game with at least 100 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Mira Monte's record is now 6-3. As for Del Oro, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Mira Monte will head out to challenge Arvin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Del Oro, they will venture away from home to square off against East Bakersfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Suns will be up against the Blades' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.63 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
