Basketball Recap: Saturday's Loss Ends Clarkrange's Winning Streak

After flying high against Clay County last Wednesday, Clarkrange came back down to earth. The Clarkrange Buffaloes fell to the Van Buren County Eagles 56-51. The Buffaloes were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

With the loss, Clarkrange broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-11. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points over those games. As for Van Buren County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season.

Clarkrange does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Van Buren County, they will be playing at home against Middle College on Wednesday. Van Buren County is on a five-game streak of home wins, Middle College a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
