Volleyball Recap: Garner Triumphs

Garner was handed a three-set defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Saturday. They won by a set and slipped past the Keene Chargers 3-2. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Longhorns as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Makayla Gonzalez paced Garner's offense, picking up 22 kills. Gonzalez got some help from Jenna Hallmark and her 38 assists. Hallmark was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Garner's record is now 2-3. As for Keene, they now also have a losing record of 2-3.

Garner wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Brock on the 19th. As for Keene, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Groesbeck on the 19th.
