Preview: Dallas Jesuit Rangers vs. Richardson Eagles

Dallas Jesuit is 4-0 against Richardson since September of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Dallas Jesuit Rangers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Richardson Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Dallas Jesuit is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Richardson in Texas (Dallas Jesuit is ranked 161st, while Richardson is ranked 453rd).

Dallas Jesuit entered their tilt with MacArthur with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Dallas Jesuit strolled past MacArthur with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 34-17.

Dallas Jesuit got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Charlie Peters out in front who threw for 221 yards and two touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaeger Krauss, who picked up 79 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Richardson, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-15 loss to Highland Park last Thursday. Richardson was down 34-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Richardson's defeat came about despite a quality game from Donovan Ford, who rushed for 150 yards while picking up 8.8 yards per carry.

Dallas Jesuit's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points per game. As for Richardson, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Dallas Jesuit beat Richardson 38-28 when the teams last played back in November of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Richardson's Howard Armstrong, who threw for 187 yards and three touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Dallas Jesuit to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
