Football Game Preview: Moore Lions vs. Deer Creek Antlers

The Moore Lions will challenge the Deer Creek Antlers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Moore has given up an average of 42.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Moore is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They had to suffer through an 81-6 loss at the hands of Bixby. The game marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Landis Greene, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Deer Creek slipped by Edmond North 13-12 on Friday. The Antlers haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Deer Creek didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Rebel Knowles and Ryan Kiel. Kiel got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Moore now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Deer Creek, they picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 2-3.
