Basketball Recap: Keaton T Weter's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Milan over Hale

Milan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hale Cardinals, falling 67-44. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 546th, while the Cardinals are ranked 149th).

Milan lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Keaton T Weter, who went 8-for-20 on his way to 19 points. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2024. Jayden Sizemore was another key player, putting up 14 points.

Milan's loss dropped their record down to 5-19. As for Hale, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-1.
