Owen Glassburner posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Glassburner and Waverly will face off against Grand Island at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Sadly, Glassburner's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Vikings' six-game streak of wins on the road.
