Lewiston is 9-1 against Mt. Ararat since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Blue Devils will face off against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Lewiston's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Mt. Ararat's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Lewiston is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since May 21, 2025 on Friday. They skirted past Skowhegan 4-3. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Blue Devils.
Meanwhile, Mt. Ararat played in-conference for the first time on Saturday and got just the result they were looking for. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over Brunswick.
Emma Marquis made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits. Marquis was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Graffam, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Kamryn Chase was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles.
Mt. Ararat kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Brunswick only managed eight.
Lewiston's record now sits at 8-3. As for Mt. Ararat, their record is now 3-6.
Lewiston came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Ararat when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
