Baseball Recap: Lone Peak Comes Up Short

Lone Peak and Riverton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Lone Peak had to settle for second. They lost 11-4 to the Silverwolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Silverwolves this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-6 loss on Thursday.

Bowen Barnes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one home run and one double. That home run was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Andrew Ladd, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Lone Peak has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-16 record this season. As for Riverton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.

Lone Peak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Riverton, they will square off against Mountain Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
