Western Reserve's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the South Central Trojans with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in August.

While Western Reserve won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-22, 25-19.

Their offense was headlined by Emma Hammond and Drew Clemons, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Jamie Muenz and her 18 assists.

When it comes to explaining why South Central lost, don't look at Isabella Kimberlin. Despite the final result, she had six digs and two aces. Zaida Myers also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Western Reserve moved to 10-6 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for South Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
