Basketball Recap: Brethren Comes Up Short

Brethren played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 66-39 loss at the hands of the Glen Lake Lakers. The Bobcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-6.

Glen Lake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jacob Plamondon led the charge by dropping a double-double with 22 points and 15 rebounds. Plamondon's big performance that evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 22 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Benji Allen, who to rack up 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals.

Brethren's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Glen Lake, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-1.

Brethren has already played their next contest, a 59-50 loss against Traverse City Christian on the 20th. As for Glen Lake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 54-34 win against St. Mary on the 20th.
