Softball Recap: Nottoway Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Nottoway was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They fell just short of the King William Cavaliers by a score of 3-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Cavaliers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Nottoway's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for King William, the win (which was their eighth in a row dating back to last season) raised their record to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Nottoway is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Lancaster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for King William, they will take on Rappahannock at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
