Football Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by the Texas City Stingarees 35-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ganders of the 41-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Dylan Hunt threw for 56 yards on six of 18 attempts. Elijah Brown was his top target, picking up 26 receiving yards. On the ground, Jacob Ramirez rushed for 59 yards.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Texas City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Lee and Texas City will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Ganders see the field they'll take on Terry at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Texas City, their break will end when they face Randle at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
