Basketball Recap: Pilot Point Comes Up Short

Pilot Point was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 51-41 to the Boyd Yellowjackets. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bearcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-56 back in December of 2024.

Myles Richardson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Boyd, putting up 23 points. Another player making a difference was Lex Horton, who posted eight points.

Pilot Point's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Boyd, their record now sits at 9-20.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Whitesboro the next time they take the court. Pilot Point will host Whitesboro at 7:45 p.m. on Friday, while Boyd will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 28th.
