Basketball Recap: Gravette Find Success

Gravette won the last time they faced Green Forest and things went their way on Friday too. The Gravette Lions walked away with a 56-45 victory over the Green Forest Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

Green Forest's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brityn Gilliam, who went 6 for 15 to rack up 15 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance gave Gilliam a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grady Massengale, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Gravette's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Green Forest, they are on a 15-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-21.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gravette will host Huntsville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. We've got a battle between Tigers coming up.
