Volleyball Game Preview: Sumiton Christian Eagles vs. McAdory Yellowjackets

The Sumiton Christian Eagles will square off against the McAdory Yellowjackets at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sumiton Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Sumiton Christian lost 3-0 to Berry on Thursday.

While Sumiton Christian was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-8, 26-24, 25-21.

Meanwhile, McAdory came up short against Helena on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

McAdory was the model of consistency in the loss, scoring 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

McAdory's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Sumiton Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

Sumiton Christian couldn't quite get it done against McAdory in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 as they fell 2-0. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
